Heather Higgs

Executive Director

Heather Higgs brings more than 30 years of healthcare experience to her role as Special Operations Director. Throughout her career, she has been driven by a passion for caring for others and finds great fulfillment in making a positive difference in the lives of residents every day. Heather’s favorite part of working at Parkview is the opportunity to interact with residents and bring smiles to their faces. She is especially inspired by watching team members engage with residents and witnessing the joy, laughter, and meaningful connections that result from those interactions. Known for her hands-on leadership style and compassionate approach, Heather believes creating a warm, supportive environment is essential to delivering exceptional care. One of her greatest joys is dancing and singing with residents, helping create memorable moments that brighten their day. Outside of work, Heather enjoys traveling and exploring new places. She also loves cooking and proudly considers herself a talented home cook, with favorite foods often being the meals she prepares herself. Heather’s dedication to service, commitment to resident well-being, and enthusiasm for building meaningful relationships make her an invaluable leader and a cherished member of the Parkview team.

Julie Moore

Business Office Coordinator

Julie Moore serves as BOC and brings five years of senior living and healthcare experience, along with 30 years of customer service experience. Her love for senior citizens inspired her to work in the field, and her favorite part of each day is listening to residents’ stories and making them smile. Julie describes herself as friendly and enjoys gospel singing with residents. Outside of work, she loves yard sales, fishing, traveling, and a good slice of pizza.

Sony Alston

Dietary Manager

Sonya F. Alston serves as Dietary Manager and has been with the company for four years. Her love for food and older adults inspired her work in senior living, and she especially enjoys getting to know each resident personally. Sonya is ServSafe Certified and describes herself as a fun and loving person who truly cares about residents and their families. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with her family.

Octavia brings extensive training to her role, including CPR/AED and First Aid certification

Octavia Johnson

Life Enrichment Coordinator

Octavia Johnson serves as Life Enrichment Coordinator at The Bridges at Parkview and brings six years of senior living and healthcare experience to her role. A genuine love for helping people inspired her career, and she enjoys getting to know residents and learning from their life experiences. Octavia brings extensive training to her role, including CPR/AED and First Aid certification, Medication Aide, Adult Care, Nurse Aide I, PCA, and Childcare credentials. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing and spending time with her children and family.

Ken Rasnake

Physical Therapist Assistant

Ken brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience and has spent the last 13 years working as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Throughout his career, he has focused on providing compassionate patient care while building strong relationships with both patients and colleagues. He is excited to step into his new role as Therapy Manager and looks forward to supporting his team while continuing to make a positive impact on the people they serve. Originally from Virginia, Ken recently relocated to North Carolina after spending several years in Pennsylvania. When he’s not at work, he enjoys trying new foods, gardening, woodworking, and playing video games. He and his wife share their home with three dogs and five cats, which keeps life interesting and never short on entertainment.
